Coming Soon: The Wizard of Opera

"Can't you read? The sign says we're out of money! Now go away!"
"Can't you read? The sign says we're out of money! Now go away!"

The Wizard of Opera tells the story of Dorothea, a sweet girl from Rolando who dreams of singing for an adoring and appreciative audience. But when a terrible financial maelstrom forces her home underwater, she begins to drown in debt, only to awaken in the magical land of Opera.

Much to her surprise, she finds that her arrival has resulted in the death of the Mezzo Diva, a wicked singer who has plagued the realm for years with her subpar performances. Dorothea is then told she must journey to the San Diego Civic Center to meet with The Wizard of Opera, the only man in all the land who can make her dream come true.

The Wizard makes ready to sail away.

Along the way, she meets several companions: a Tin Man whose insides aren't quite filled to capacity, a Lion who is afraid to venture into unfamiliar territory, and a Scarecrow who can't think of any solutions. They join Dorothea and her little dog Cashflow on their quest. But once they reach the Civic Center, they are told that the Opera is shutting down, thanks in part to the Soprano Diva, a terrible witch who comes from over the sea and drains away all of the company's money.

Dorothea and her friends must confront the Soprano, and ultimately, the mysterious Wizard himself in this thrilling tale of highbrow art and lowbrow business dealings. Don't miss it!
