If I had my wedding to do over again, I would have it in Balboa Park. In my opinion it’s the most romantic setting in San Diego. It’s no surprise that the majority of those found in the park on Saturday nights are couples.
I found Perla Rodriguez waiting patiently for her groom, Hayes Hoessel, outside the men’s room near the Prado. Rodriguez purchased her dress atBridal & Veil in Mission Valley.
Afterward the pair rushed off with a group of bridesmaids dressed in floor-length icy pink gowns and groomsmen in tuxedos. The group piled into a white Hummer limo headed to their wedding reception at the Grand Hyatt.
Lisa Delvin, 25, and Dustin Lamont, 28, spent the day posing for engagement photos in Balboa Park. The couple is newly engaged. They are set to wed at the La Jolla Women’s club in late July.
Lamont is a graphic artist and Delvin works for Horizon church. Delvin wore a Forever 21 dress and Steve Madden Boots. Lamont wore a shirt, tie, and boots from H&M. His cardigan is from Target.
Lamont popped the question underneath the crystal pier in PB.
I found Johanna Malacara and Bandon Rodriguez strolling through the park. When asked what their plans for the night were, they said, “Just hanging out,”
The height of Rodriguez’s hair could be a potential deal breaker.
