The End of Summer Fire Run arrrives
The end of summer. Is it really? Beings how I haven’t even come close to a heat stroke yet it feels as though we’ve had more of a five month spring instead of a summer.
Whatever the case may be, The End of Summer Fire Run is happening Sunday, August 25th at 8:00 am.
The course starts on the corner of Girard and Prospect and end in PB. It’s four miles. That’s an odd distance. It’s more than a 5K (3.1 miles) but it isn’t 5 miles.
Who knows? It’s a great, fast, course and it benefits fire fighters.
They are charging money for this event. I think $48 for four miles is a bit much. $12 per mile? Let’s figure that out for other events.

- $157 for a half marathon
- $314 for a full marathon

Regardless of the price, this event is very popular and attracts a lively crowd of runners.
