One constant throughout Tempest, aside from the mortality motif, is the rootsy instrumentation from Dylan’s guitarists Charlie Sexton and Stu Kimball, bassist Tony Garnier, drummer George G. Receli, string player Donnie Herron, with Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo on accordion.
