Firefighters Extinguish Couch on Ocean Beach Street
At approximately 1:15 a.m. on September 22, residents of the 5000 block of Long Branch Avenue noticed a couch on fire in the middle of the street.
Several neighbors gathered and the fire department was called. The flames billowed thick black smoke as the fabric and foam melted onto the street.
Firefighters arrived within minutes to extinguish the fully engulfed couch. No damage beyond the couch occurred.
