On May 4, the body of a woman was found in an abandoned car with California plates near the San Ysidro border crossing.
At around 11:30 a.m., police received a report that a person may be in a car parked in a lot located next to the yellow cab stand. Upon arriving on the scene, police officers were taken to a brown Honda Accord wagon . When the car was opened, the smell of a decomposing body hinted at what was in a black plastic bag. Police opened the bag, confirming the presence of a woman in an advanced stage of decomposition.
The victim’s clothing was described as a green shirt, blue pants, and sneakers. The body bore no obvious indications of violence. The parking lot staff gave no statements regarding the discovery.
