Twenty-nine politicos from the League of California Cities got in free to September 19’s Chargers versus Jacksonville game at Qualcomm, thanks to tickets with a face value of $98 each, distributed by San Diego city councilman Tony Young. In a recently filed disclosure, the group is described as “an association of city officials who exchange information for the betterment of all.” Young himself picked up a free ticket to the Jacksonville game thanks to a “behesting” by fellow councilmember Ben Hueso, who also gave his supporter Humberto Peraza, ex–district chief of staff to Bob Filner and former Chula Vista council candidate, four $55 tickets to September 14’s soccer game between Chivas USA and Chivas Guadalajara.
