In the early evening hours of Saturday, May 22, police and ambulance sirens shattered the silence at the Mariner's Cove Apartments. The entrance to the complex was surrounded by cops and a large fire truck.
Two teen-aged girls were allegedly accosted by one of the resident thugs. It was reported that one of girls was offered and ingested an illegal substance given to her by a 24-year old male who subsequently put the moves on her. She and her friend ran for help and their guardian called the police and paramedics.
Both teen girls were checked out for side effects; though jittery and upset, they seemed to be okay. The suspect's mother denied her son was involved with any wrongdoing.
