On Tuesday, January 4, at about 11:00 p.m., El Cajon police took three young men into custody for felony vandalism.
An officer reportedly became suspicious of the teens’ passenger-side window being rolled down on such a cold night. On the basis of an inoperable taillight on the white 1994 Geo Metro, the policeman pulled the vehicle over and discovered numerous air- and spring-loaded BB guns and thousands of BBs and air cartridges.
Aaron Menjuga, 18, Oswaldo Sanchez, 19, and a 16-year-old are suspected of conspiring to shoot out car windows throughout the city. The damage to 13 vehicles is estimated at $2000.
