Cinderella brought their brand of blues-infused glam-rock to San Diego to the delight of a room full of hardcore ’80s metal fans at Viejas Casino. They remain today one of the few "hair bands" still touring with its original lineup.
The set was a trip down memory lane as the band blasted through hits such as "Gypsy Road," "Coming Home," and "Somebody Save Me." One of the highlights of the night was a rousing version of the band’s signature power ballad "You Don't Know What You Got Til' It's Gone," which was featured in the 2009 movie The Wrestler.
Cinderella has been and remains one of the underrated bands of the genre. Entering their fourth decade together, lead singer Tom Keifer and company showed no sign of slowing down. Keifer's trademark raspy scream did at times show signs of wear, but overall the performance was strong. The show concluded with an encore of the band’s 1986 MTV classic "Shake Me."
