On Saturday, October 10, a motorcycle going east on West Point Loma Boulevard clipped a car that had pulled out of the underground parking lot of a condo complex on the north side of the street. The motorcyclist lost control and skidded to a stop in the middle of the street, ending up unconscious. A nurse came running out of a nearby apartment to aid him. The biker suffered compound fractures, according to police.
Street traffic was detoured onto Mentone Street, and neighbors chalked up yet another accident to occur on that dangerous street. Unfortunately, this type of accident is becoming a regular occurrence here. Blind corners are a hazard, and particularly dangerous for those traveling at too high a speed.
