A Tijuana man ended up in police custody after he allegedly went to a towing company’s impound yard on Tuesday night, September 29, and forcibly reclaimed his cherry-colored Ford.
Employees of Zabad Towing said the man threatened to run over workers trying to stop him from taking the car, according to an account published in the Tijuana daily Frontera. They jumped out of the way and the man drove off. Workers alerted police, who located the auto on Avenida Calzada Tecnológico and pulled it over, the newspaper reported.
Officers arrested 22-year-old Raymundo Castañedas Acevedo at the scene. The story did not say why the car was towed or what happened to it after Castañeda’s arrest.
