Shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, San Diego Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call from an apartment house at the corner of 13th Street and Grove Avenue in Imperial Beach. Three patrol cars and a motorcycle officer responded to investigate the breaking of a second-floor window. (Several gang shootings have occurred in this area recently.)
As four young women were interviewed by two deputies, the other deputies left in different directions, possibly in search of the suspects.
The grandfather of two of the girls arrived and after consoling them gave me the low down: “They think a rock was thrown by a group of girls from Spring Valley, jealous about an ex-boy friend who was seen with one of the roommates.”
