The demolition of the old building on Broadway between Eighth and Ninth avenues was completed over a month ago. On the 23rd of February, a work crew was on the site to break up remaining cement and level out the dirt. Early the following day, an asphalt team was on the lot, paving it over. On the 24th, lines were painted on the asphalt and a new parking lot was created.
This parking lot is adjacent to the current parking lot that took up the middle section of the block between Eighth and Ninth.
Unfortunately, in their haste, the lot was not graded well and there are several strange spaces that require vehicles to park at angles.
