“Joseph Malta Frederick Haase joined the Navy in 1911 and was chief photographer at North Island Naval Air Station for much of his career in the 1920s and 1930s,” according to aerospacemuseum.org.
“Haase also worked as a racetrack photographer at Agua Caliente (Mexico) in 1934 and then became an official photographer for the Del Mar Turf Club when it opened in 1937.... He and his wife Mary had a daughter named June. They lived in Coronado from around 1915 until his death in 1959.”
