San Diego police responded to a stabbing incident in Middletown at around 12:35 a.m. on Saturday, August 1. An argument among partygoers turned violent at a residence in the 2400 block of India Street, according to SDPD spokesperson Monica Muñoz.
A male in his 20s was stabbed in the left ribcage and lower left leg. The victim went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the victim, an admitted gang member, was uncooperative with their investigation. No one was arrested.
Police had India Street blocked off to northbound traffic between Kalmia and Laurel Streets for the duration of the investigation. As late as 1:20 a.m., drivers heading north on India were diverted to Kettner Boulevard when they arrived at Kalmia Street.
