Cabo San Lucas is only 2 hours from San Diego?... Yes! There are nonstop flights from San Diego to Cabo and they're just 2 hours long. Once in Cabo, the range of hotel options is enormous – from luxury resorts on the beach to hidden gems in the center of town.
My personal favorite is a secret little hotel called Los Milagros, owned and operated by Sandra, a super-sweet American gal. It's a postcard-perfect white stucco villa surrounding lush gardens, a bubbling fountain and sapphire blue pool. Rooms go for $75, including tax!
Another little secret is a restaurant named La Fonda. It's off the beaten track but not too far – only about 2 minutes by taxi. La Fonda is by far the best authentic Mexican restaurant in Cabo, if not Mexico! Try the tongue or the grasshoppers with guacamole. And the margaritas are like nectar from heaven.
