San Diego--based three-piece bill was recently named one of Rolling Stone magazine's top 25 MySpace bands.
"Basically, a friend sent us a message telling us [about it]," says Riyadh Drebika, the band's manager. "All we had to do was to go to www.myspace.com/rollingstonemagazine and post a reply to the blog they had.... So we put up the post, suggested they check out our song 'Watercolors' from our album Birthday Suit. Seemed like there was a super-slim chance since they said they had over 1700 entries."
The band forgot about the entry until an e-mail came on December 21, informing them that they'd been selected.
"We spent hours and hours listening," wrote "Dan" from Rolling Stone, "and you rock."
On January 18, bill plays the Belly Up.
