San Diego State senator Christine Kehoe -- who carried Senate Bill 1627 this year to loosen local limitations on cell-phone-tower expansions, which was recently signed into law by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger -- has continued to rake in campaign cash from mobile-phone-industry players. On July 6, she picked up another $1800 from T-Mobile USA, the American subsidiary of the German telecom giant Deutsche Telekom. T-Mobile had previously given Kehoe $1000 last December, about a month and a half before she introduced the bill, which was sponsored by the company.
