Anyone ever tell you that you look like Courtney Love? You could cash in at this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con International, where they're holding a Courtney Love lookalike contest. Actually, it's for the character she co-created and plays in a Japanese comic book: Princess Ai, the guitar-wielding "royal princess of Ai-Land, a magical kingdom caught in the midst of a horrific revolution." Before hooking up with Kurt Cobain, Love lived in Japan and became a fan of their comics with big-eyed characters. The Princess Ai character designs are by manga artist Yazawa Ai. Love's co-creators are D.J. Milky and a female illustrator, Misaho Kujiradou. Princess Ai/Courtney Love dolls, already in production, have angel wings and a guitar ($14.99). Contest rules and prize info can be found at www.begoths.com/princessai.php.
At this year's Comic-Con, Tenacious D (with Jack Black) will perform, and Rob Zombie presents a panel about his filmmaking projects.
