The darkly dressed congregate every Tuesday at Kickers, inside Hamburger Mary's. "We believe in playing the most diverse selection of music possible within the dark underground," according to the club's website. "At Luminal, you will hear gothic, darkwave, ebm, electro, powernoize, synthpop, deathrock, triphop, idm, dark techno, and more. The music of the dark underground encompasses many styles. Most commonly, you'd hear the terms 'gothic' and 'industrial' to describe the types of music we play and promote at Luminal." DJ and promoter Tom King masterminded one of the area's first vampire bars, Soil. DJ Reverend Cybian used to spin at the goth landmark club Therapy. Brendan Cahill worked Klub Retro in 1997. Admission is $4 (21 and up), but if you eat dinner at Hamburger Mary's, they'll let you in free.
