West end of Terminal Two, near luggage offices, Lindbergh Field
You've got to get as far away as possible from the Southwest Airlines juggernaut in Terminal One if you want to find some peace at Lindbergh Field. Once in Terminal Two, walk west through the two-story baggage claim area (you can pick up coffee at the cart near the model of the Spirit of St. Louis) until the two-story room becomes a one-story room. The only things here are the luggage offices of American and Continental airlines along with a Harbor Police storefront. Seats near the window are almost always empty and offer bright natural light for reading. You'll have plenty of peace, as the baggage claim area is 50 yards off, and passengers heading to and from the gates have no need to pass through this area unless their luggage is lost.
