Jim Stelluti, Artistic Garden Refiner
619-298-7641
Jim Stelluti has spent 30 years creating gardens, and -- uniquely -- taking pictures of them. By now Stelluti has 100 slide shows on every conceivable garden subject, from window gardens to wrought iron in the garden to tile, outside murals, trees, drought gardens, desert gardens, mountain gardens. He even has collections contrasting styles in downtown's East village ("rustic, artistic") and Gaslamp ("glossy, refined. Porcelain as opposed to clay"). The neat thing is his pictures can show you what your garden could look like. You can opt for a consultation (no pictures) or a lecture (with pictures). Stelluti, who was an art major at Brigham Young and studied landscaping and nursery technology at Mesa College, says both his grandfathers and most of his uncles were gardeners Back East. But he's always been drawn to San Diego, "maybe because my ancestors came from similar latitudes on the Adriatic side of Italy."
