Seaport Village Boardwalk
Want to take a walk with your love? You might enjoy the seaside in La Jolla, the Rose Garden of Balboa Park, or the quaint shopping district of Coronado. But the best love jaunt is through Seaport Village and Embarcadero Park. Hugging the edge of the bay, the walkway offers views of Coronado Bridge, Coronado itself, the bay, and Point Loma beyond. A wide path runs from South Embarcadero Park northwest past the convention center, to the tuna harbor (or all the way to the Star of India and beyond for the in-shape couple). In between, narrow paths weave through the galleries, ice-cream parlors, cookie shops -- sweets are always good for romance -- and koi ponds of Seaport Village, while yachts bob in the Marriott Marina. Street performers and artists along the path add a Bohemian air. In the summertime, as the sun drops behind Point Loma and the cool breeze blows off the water, there's no more romantic spot to walk in San Diego.
