The accomplished chef, Taka Satate (formerly with Taka Restaurant), has opened a restaurant where the food is as sophisticated as the surroundings. An expert at preparing sushi and sashimi, which are unique as well as gorgeous, he is also a French saucier. This means that if you order either the fish or meat dishes, or even the special eel roll, they are accompanied by a delicate French sauce. The hot appetizer list is especially appealing with its softshell crab with mango salsa, monkfish marinated in cognac, or Cajun king crab legs. Octopus Garden has facilities for large parties; the service is impeccable, and the desserts are continental.
