Hi, Mattster:
(Qic) question for ya...What does it mean when they put one of these (sic) in a story? I'm sure I could probably look it up in my local dictionary, but it's more fun asking the experts at your disposal.

I've got plenty of disposable experts, and they agree that sic is Latin for "thus." Consider a quote..."Testifying before Congress today, an agitated Matthew Alice pounded the table and declared, 'We don't need no [sic] stinkin' badgers!' " Sic means, "The bonehead I'm quoting made that mistake, not I, the educated, vigilant writer."
