Dear M. A.: My friend Ernie says the list of “Production Babies” in the credits for Toy Story refers to all the kids born during the production of the film. I think it lists the names of babies whose gurgles, burps, screeches, and cries were recorded and used in the soundtrack. It's about time for me to win a bet with Ernie. Who's right? — L.P., Hillerest
Hate to say it, L.P., but that danged Ernie wins again. According to the spokesfolks at Buena Vista, the 23 Production Babies are the children born to people associated with the film during its three-year development. About all you’ve won is an excuse for a good tantrum. Waaaaaaah!
