When Ray was five, they renamed him Henry Ross Perot because his brother, Gabriel Ross Perot, Jr., had died, and the family wanted one living child to carry on the name of Gabriel Ross Perot, Sr.’s father, Gabriel Elias Perot, who was called Ross.
