Announcement of a contest

THE READER AND THE JACK GLENN GALLERY PRESENT AN AWARD SHOW FOR PHOTOGRAPHS, PAINTINGS, PRINTS AND DRAWINGS

CATEGORY 1 PHOTOGRAPHY Black and white or color prints only. AWARDS — 1st Award $75.00 2nd Award $35.00 Three Honorable Mention Awards CATEGORY II PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND PRINTS AWARDS — 1st Award $75.00 2nd Award $35.00 Three Honorable Mention Awards

Works selected for exhibition will be shown at the Jack Glenn Gallery in Fashion Valley from Friday, March 8th through Saturday, March 30th, and will be reproduced in the March 14th issue of the Reader.

SIZE AND PREPARATION

Any two-dimensional work with no dimension exceeding 12” (including frame — if framed). Photographs, drawings and prints must be rigidly mounted. Each entry not protected by glass must have a removable protective cover sheet. Entry form must be securely affixed to the back in the upper right hand corner.

ELIGIBILITY

Only those living in San Diego County are eligible.

ENTRY FEE

A fee of $3 00 per entry will be required to help defray exhibition expenses. You may enter as many works as you like.

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

Neither the Reader (James E. Holman, owner) nor the Jack Glenn Gallery accepts any liability for loss of or damage to entries while in its possession. Artists wishing to insure their works should make private arrangements.

SALES

All works will be considered for sale at the price on the entry form If not for sale please indicate. The Jack Glenn Gallery will retain 20% of the indicated sale price on any work sold.

Lawrence Urrutia, Director of the Center for Photographic Arts and Managing Director of the Jack Glenn Gallery. Formerly Assistant Director of the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art.

RETURN OF ENTRIES

Works not selected for exhibition must be picked up between Thursday, March 7 and Sunday. March 10 from 1—5 PM at 429 Nautilus Street in La Jolla.

Entries selected for exhibition must be picked up within one week of its closing date at the Jack Glenn Gallery, 424 Fashion Valley.

The selected works will be exhibited from Friday, March 8 through Saturday, March 30.

PLACES AND DATES
