Your monthly serial-killer fix. Your killer, as you like him, is an egomaniacal taunter, Fed-Ex-ing photos of his targeted victims to the cops, twenty-four hours prior to strangulation. For the role, Keanu Reeves lowers and loudens his speaking voice, sounding about as self-assured as a seventeen-year-old when attempting to purchase a six-pack of Michelob. And of course there is something "personal" between him and his hunter, the burnt-out, nightmare-haunted, migraine-afflicted James Spader. Grainily photographed by Michael Chapman; gimmicked-up with slow-motion, fast-motion, freeze-frames, etc., by the never-heard-of director, Joe Charbanic. With Marisa Tomei, Ernie Hudson, Chris Ellis.
