Self-therapeutic autobiography of a thirtyish homosexual Texan, Jonathan Caouette, from a small-town dysfunctional family. Shuffling through the pile of still photos, home movies, video diaries, phone messages, pop songs, TV and film clips, etc., has something of the fascination of poking into other people's closets and drawers. The narcissism and exhibitionism diminish the guilt, but also the pleasure. Touted as the first film edited entirely on Apple's iMovies software -- whatever that means. (2004) — Duncan Shepherd
