Big-screen blowup of the culty Comedy Central series built around Amy Sedaris, looking uncannily like Tracey Ullman in one of her countless disguises, as a sexually ambiguous (or ambidextrous) ex-con ex-junkie who returns to high school in her late forties, afflicted with all the normal anxieties about "fitting in." A John Waters-y bad-taste treat, it mostly falls flat, but it keeps picking itself up, dusting itself off, and coming out with the odd good line: "If you're paying for cable and you're not watching TV, you're losing money. It's simple economics." With Carlo Alban, Maria Thayer, Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker, Stephen Colbert, and Paul Dinello; directed by Dinello. (2006) — Duncan Shepherd
