Road movie and buddy movie uniting two opposite Cheyenne braves, a hot-headed reservation activist and a gentle giant tuned in to the Old Ways. "Blissed out" is the way the latter is described, and it fits the movie as a whole. Handsome photography, particularly of the Western sunlight and landscape; a splendid bombed-out automobile; and an endearing performance by Gary Farmer as the soft speaker and big eater who's in the course of a spiritual metamorphosis from "Philbert Bono" to "Whirlwind Dreamer." With A Martinez; directed by Jonathan Wacks. (1989) — Duncan Shepherd
