"The Holy Grail of Eastern mythology" grants Jackie Chan a second life after drowning, in addition to superpowers even more super than his normal ones. British comedian Lee Evans bests him in the humor department, however, and the movie as a whole drains away between its widely separated moods. As a sign of its identity crisis, the clapboard in the de rigueur outtakes at the end indicates that the movie started out to be called Highbinders. With Claire Forlani and Julian Sands; directed by Gordon Chan. (2003) — Duncan Shepherd
