A friendly alien transmission arrives in 1977, and with it comes a keen-o indestructible superhero costume. For whatever reasons, the delivery is intercepted by four slobs; each finds himself the bearer of one piece of the armor. Though it arrived under the aegis “A YouTube Original” (oxymoron, anyone?), nothing prepared me for the ineptitude ahead. Led by a no-star cast, former Mutant Turtle Alan Ritchson stars as the embodiment of humanity’s full potential, genetically perfect in every way, give or take a bevy of phonetic line-readings. Hideous to behold — the CG work makes Alvin and the Chipmunks look like Fantasia — to call this bargain basement video game commercial the worst “movie” of 2016 would be as presumptuous as it is obvious. The IRS should investigate Matt Hullum for listing his profession as a director. The Digital Gym is too good for this garbage. Watch it on your phone. (2015)
