A Chicago furniture salesman books a family vacation in what turns out to be a tropical sex club. The place is run by a lot of Frenchmen whose English fails them whenever convenient; and there are armed guerrillas lurking in the jungle outside barbed-wire barriers. Bravely anachronistic comedy, with Charles Grodin turning in a heroic effort as a very square peg amid lots of round holes. But bravery and heroism don't win many laughs on their own. With little support, they amount to suicide. Directed by Zane Buzby. (1986) — Duncan Shepherd
