A documentary about a group of at-risk youth participating in competitive voguing contests holds about as much interest to me as does watching a fur trapper club to death a group of baby seals. It’s the job — no, make that the privilege — of a filmmaker to entice audiences by transforming their universe through storytelling, not mounting a shoot-now-figure-it-out-later confessional that pays zero regard to the notion, let alone art, of cinema. I lasted 20 minutes before hitting stop. Unless you have a single-minded devotion to the subject matter or are a relative of the filmmaker, this is to be avoided at all costs. (2016) — Scott Marks
