Time-travel contrivance, at least as convoluted as it is clever: a Gulf War vet, subjected to crackpot experiments in a mental hospital, bodily visits the future, accidentally bumps into a big girl whom he had once bumped into as a little girl, learns of his earlier death, endeavors to avert it. The mad doctor speaks for the majority of moviegoers: "I don't understand." Keira Knightley, in the part of the big girl, sporting darkened hair and an American accent, might as well be Winona Ryder. With Adrien Brody, Kris Kristofferson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Daniel Craig, Kelly Lynch; directed by John Maybury. (2005) — Duncan Shepherd
