Pressures of college application, turned up to a decently comic intensity. The rules of the game are pretty loose: the nightmarish "interview" at which the prom queen cum foreign-exchange student cum class president finds herself to be an exact replica of girls from all across the country; or the cobwebs forming inside the mailbox while waiting for an answer to an application; or the dramatic enactments of SAT math questions involving a hypothetical "A" and "B" (in Savage Steve Holland's earlier films, these enactments would doubtless have been handled as mediocre cartoon sequences: much better this way). The overall execution is not really fine-tuned, but the solidness of the subject-matter sees it over any rough spots. With Corey Parker, Lara Flynn Boyle, Anthony Edwards, and Charles Rocket.
