A clan of modernday cavemen in the American West besets an Ohio family whose car has broken down in the middle of nowhere. The starving savages, wearing animal pelts and bear-claw necklaces and communciating via walkie-talkies, have their greedy eyes not only on the refrigerator in the RV, but also on the plump little baby in the bassinet. (It's no wonder these people are starving. Whenever they eat, as much food goes down their chins as down their throats.) Things look pretty hopeless for the Ohioans until the family pet, a Rin Tin Tin wonder dog, turns the tide. Crude stuff, with some crude thrills. Directed, written, and edited by Wes Craven.
