Chloë Grace Moretz, 13 or 14 during filming, is a wee bod with big eyes and lips. As Luli, she is a pipsqueak Baby Doll. Head full of movie dreams, she flees Nebraska and her trashy mom (Juliette Lewis) for a road trip that must be on Route Rape-Bait 66. Director Derick Martini (Lymelife) and writer Andrea Portes add Luli’s cute drawings, music by Bob Dylan and Patsy Cline, and Alec Baldwin as a brief rescuer. The camera ogles Luli, a thoughtful girl prone to dumb moves in dangerous places. As a stud with a rodeo limp, Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marilyn) has the whippet sexiness of Brad Pitt in Thelma & Louise and is a better actor than Pitt was then. (2012) — David Elliott
