How low will the relatives sink in order to get their hands on Uncle Joe's millions? In the case of Michael J. Fox, who starts out on the high road, at least as low as a Jimmy Durante impression: "Ink-a-dink-a-doo." In other words, pretty low. A moralizing comedy that, near the end, changes into a sentimentalizing and self-contradicting one: unpleasanter and unpleasanter. Kirk Douglas, crafty and craftsmanly as the sadistic old s.o.b., keeps his head above water. With Nancy Travis, Bob Balaban, Phil Hartman, and Ed Begley, Jr.; directed by Jonathan Lynn.
