In one sense, because it's a sequel, a buildup was unnecessary; in a more important sense a buildup is sorely missed. The hurriedly conjured foot-tall "minion" (as we learn to call him, along with other lessons: "If demons were rock stars, he'd be the roadie") is fun in the vein of Ray Harryhausen. But the duo of j.d. types spoil that fun, with plenty to spare. Waiting around to see them get their due is a profitless activity. With Louis Tripp and Pamela Segall; directed by Tibor Takacs.
