Nostalgia for the Sixties: a yuppie FBI man has to transport the erstwhile "court jester of the radical left" (Abbie Hoffman? Jerry Rubin?) to jail; the tables are turned; a chase ensues; a bond is formed. A bad trip. One good stretch when the old hippie, impersonating the FBI man, can't quite manage to act "straight." When he (Dennis Hopper) is being more overtly funny, he's a far cry. With Kiefer Sutherland, Cliff De Young, Paul Dooley, and Carol Kane; directed by Franco Amurri. (1990) — Duncan Shepherd
