Touted as a feminine answer to In the Company of Men. Two women at opposite ends of the corporate pecking order -- a stressed exec and a sassy apprentice, who between them do a good deal of drinking and telephoning -- visit a kind of revenge on a hapless male headhunter. Like the better LaBute movie, it's spare and sterile in appearance, but the plotting is more transparent, less tricky. The only real pleasure is in watching the hard work of two actresses a generation apart, Stockard Channing and Julia Stiles. With Frederick Weller; written and directed by Patrick Stettner.
