Young wholesome clean-cut American couple competes with old depraved whiskered Britisher for the Scientific Find Of The Century: a brontosaurus family (papa, mama, and little baby) in Darkest Africa. The creatures — as light on their feet as marionettes, but as lubberly in movement as if they all slept wrong and had stiff necks — are not good enough technically for us to regret that they aren't made more use of. There is perhaps just one moment of regret for what might have been, when the mother, having been zapped with tranquilizer darts every few minutes, is finally untrussed to go in pursuit of her kidnapped baby: "Sick 'em!" William Katt, Sean Young, and Patrick McGoohan, directed by B.W.L. Norton. (1985) — Duncan Shepherd
