Low-budget "mockumentary" wherein an abrasive, facetious, blabbering would-be filmmaker by the name of Myles Berkowitz hits upon the idea of finally getting a film made by simply filming himself (or rather, videotaping himself) on a series of dates with women. And maybe as a bonus, falling in love. (Either that, or getting his picture in the next edition of Webster's alongside the definition of "self-indulgence. ") Nothing in what we witness is believable in any way, and the video-transferred-to-film image is unstomachable. (1999) — Duncan Shepherd
