Work on grammatical constructions from the very beginning (textbook is Yiddish, Vol. 1, by Sheva Zucker), while talking, reading and writing. Learning is also supplemented by listening to informative videos about famous figures in Yiddish culture, and discussing films and songs in Yiddish.
