Four men and a woman in an isolaged Irish pub find common ground in ghost stories. Then, in Conor McPhereson's 95 minute play, a true life story's just as haunting, if not more so. New Village Arts' production takes time to find its feet and has the occasional sag. Strong performances by Ron Choularton and Tom Stephenson propel the talky show, however. Kelly Kissinger's set's a highlight. It's a pub straight, it would seem, from the Emerald Isle. And like The Weir, it's got red-cheeked warmth, and a chill at the edges. Worth a try.
