In Anna Ziegler's new drama, two Jewish couples are near opposites. Esther and Schmuli are newlyweds as innocent as Adam and Eve before the apple. Abe and Sophie, writers, have been married many years. One from each couple decides to explore alternatives. The glitter of the unknown outshines ingrained routines. But should it? The play has many twists and moves well until the conclusion, where it glides through tricky issues. Performances vary, not by the solid cast, but by underwritten male parts. Ali Rose Dachis and Michelle Beck are terrific as the two wives. Worth a try.
